This position is for the Western Accelerator, our universities very own engine that churns out 8 new companies every cohort, the western accelerator is industry agnostic and we work with start-up's to scaleup their businesses for new and innovative products, services and platforms.¿

Main responsiblities:

- Managing speakers, client ventures and event coordination for the accelerator
- Project coordination activities for the final pitch competition
- Hosting small audiences (in person and on zoom) on an as-needed basis
- Adhoc activities related to the Western Accelerator and Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship programming
- Managing stock of classroom inventory and snacks
- Communication with speakers regarding information sessions
- Ability to contribute to craft a warm classroom setting
- Qualifications**Education**:
- Must be a student returning to studies in the fall

**Experience**:
- Preferably 1 year of experience assisting project leaders in any business office setting (can include co-op work and internships)

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
- Reliable and dependable with the ability to consistently work assigned schedule
- Ability to follow processes and practices with high attention to detail
- Interested in creating an impact on the gig economy
- Proven ability and natural inclination to interact with people in professional, respectful and diplomatic manner
- Self-motivated multi-tasker with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets to manage project coordination charts and planners¿
- Creative skills with any design software, primarily Canva
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for everyday business activities
