Vision Capital Corporation (“Vision”) is the Manager of the Vision Opportunity Funds (the “Funds”), alternative investment funds that focus on investments in publicly-traded securities in the real estate sector. **Key Responsibilities**:
Assist in reviewing daily and monthly NAVs and financial reports from fund administrators.
Prepare and review supporting information for fund-level transactions, ensuring accurate accounting.
Assist with year-end audit and tax compliance by preparing and reviewing audit and tax working papers.
Prepare currency hedge files to mitigate currency risk.
Generate distribution reports for fund unitholders.
Enter journal entries in Enfusion, the Funds’ OMS/PMS and accounting system.
Execute cash transfers as directed by management.
Prepare notes to support portfolio valuations.
Oversee third-party fund administrator and other key service providers.
Prepare a summary of portfolio holdings for Vision’s liquid alternative fund quarterly.
Prepare financial statements supporting documentation for regulatory compliance.
Assist in the monthly reconciliations of portfolio holdings, dividends/distributions and trades.
Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations for Enfusion vs. the Fund Administrator.
Retrieve and review the Funds’ bank statements to provide to the Fund Administrator.
Conduct daily position reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the Funds’ cash and position holdings.
Resolve settlement issues promptly to minimize operational risk.
Assist with the monitoring of leverage and margin requirements.
Drive the operational setup of new fund, bank/broker account opening, operational-related issues and regulatory reporting.
Assist with various reporting, process improvement initiatives and projects as assigned.
Facilitate asset transfers and manage dividend reinvestment plans (DRIP) activities.
Document proxy votes for shareholder meetings.
Prepare reports for quarterly Advisory Board Meetings.
Assist in updating the marketing deck with exposure information.
Prepare compensation and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) tables for reporting purposes.
Perform end-of-day uploads for liquidity and other metrics in Enfusion.
Maintain up-to-date written processes and procedures.
Independently identify issues, analyze and implement proper solutions.
Participate in special projects and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant qualifications.
- 2-3 years of work experience in accounting or operations within the financial services industry, preferably in alternative investments or asset management.
- Good knowledge of fund operations.
- Knowledgeable in operations, risk management, compliance and fund structure.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Working towards a professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, etc.) is an asset.
- Knowledge of investment instruments, fund structures, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
