Edmonton, Canada Durabuilt Commercial Solutions Inc Full time

This is a full time, on-site position based out of Edmonton, AB at Durabuilt Commercial Solutions. In this position you be responsible to accurately fabricate hollow metal products as per the specifications received from a variety of sources. As Door Shop Fabricator you are expected to have good knowledge of products, processes and hand tools used in fabricating of hollow metal products.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Fabricate hollow metal products to specifications from fabrication tickets, shop drawings, and elevation drawings, including layout, measurement, cutouts, fabrication, welding, grinding, finishing, and painting.
- Accurately read tape measures, safely cut and weld (MIG Welding) steel, safely use power tools (saw, grinder, sander, etc.) and hand tools.
- Maintain fabrication and safety equipment.
- Further develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques, and remain current with product requirements.
- Follow health and safety regulations by wearing required equipment and protection.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of prior experience with MIG Welding, preferably with steel doors and frames (hollow metal doors and frames).
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Comfortable with units of measure (metric system).
- Competency using a tape measure.
- Communicate effectively in English both verbal and written.
- High comfort level working in a fast-paced team environment that is constantly evolving.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

**Other Requirements**
- Clear criminal background check.

**Working Conditions**
- Physically able to lift between 50 to 100 pounds.
- Work in a production facility.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
