**The Role**

Based in Nova Scotia** **and reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Human Resources Generalist will contribute to the Cooke team by:

- Providing coaching, guidance, and day-to-day direction to the freshwater, saltwater, plant and distribution operations leadership teams
- Serving as a resource on all Human Resource matters
- Maintaining employee records, new employee orientation, administration of payroll and benefits, and recruitment
- Being the first point of contact for employees.
- Have excellent communication skills
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all aspects of the role
- Have excellent communication, personnel management, disciplinary process, recruitment, and labour compliance skills
- Possess a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources or a related field
- Have 3-5 years of Human Resources related experience
