**Community Response Coordinator, Seniors’ Safe House**

The **Community Response Coordinator** will **work to education the public and raise awareness about elder abuse. **The Coordinator will **design, deliver and facilitate workshops and education sessions **to partner organizations, health care professionals, students, social workers, social service providers and community members. The Coordinator will provide **support, education and consultation to community organizations about elder abuse prevention, assessment, and intervention tools and resources**. The Coordinator will also **support, manage and chair the multi-agency Elder Abuse Consultation Team**, which provides a network of consolidated support to service providers working with older adults experiencing abuse. The Coordinator will also **build sustainable connections and relationships** between other agencies working to provide elder abuse services, supports and networks.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in or related field
- Must provide an enhance criminal record check from the Edmonton Police Service
- Experience with adult education and/or group facilitation
- Understanding of the experience of abuse and its impact on the individual
- Vehicle required; valid Class 5 driver’s license and $2 million liability insurance
- Experience developing and facilitating presentations; provide public awareness opportunities
- Excellent public speaking skills, written communication skills and organizational skills
- Knowledge of community resources and services related to older adults
- Strong trauma informed, anti-oppressive practice skills
