**Position: Strategic Advisor, Level 2**

Demonstrable knowledge and leadership experience in the following areas:
Strong understanding of information technology and standards within the Ontario healthcare sector. Applied experience will be key.

Well-developed technical and analytical skills to identify and assess business requirements and complex business issues and to advise management and senior executives, identify and develop/consult on digital/technology options and solutions.

Outstanding information technology consulting, interpersonal and relationship management skills to help build partnerships and to discuss recommendations with senior executives and key stakeholders.

Good working knowledge of business/data analysis and financial models with a structured approach to leveraging technology in solving strategic business issues.

Experience identifying barriers to technical innovation, and the required success factors for effective integration to ensure success.

Familiarity with current theories, models, and strategies for assessing technical project performance against objectives.

Liaise with project stakeholders including GovTechON, Ontario Health and OntarioMD to ensure project objectives are met.

Contribute to project deliverables required under the Unified Project Methodology (UPM) (i.e., Project Outline, Closeout Report, Lessons Learned).

Deliver a strategy to monitor the success of each production release that will inform similar projects in the future.

Perform an operational readiness assessment on the SADIE platform to determine challenges present for EMR/HIS integration.

**General Skills required are**:
Knowledge of business planning and program management within the OPS

Knowledge of the information technology development, gating, and enterprise architecture processes in Ontario

Strategic Plan and management

Deliverables

Review MOH requirements (business and technical) to determine approach and prioritization principles working with HPDD and OH.

Facilitate MOH understanding of Ontario Health digital/information technology strategies, governance and program roadmaps related to EMR/HIS integration, to ensure alignment with Ministry strategies

Advocate with Ministry leadership to plan and implement technology solutions that deliver business strategy and value; informed by strategies and priorities within the Ministry.

Contribute to the development of business cases required to execute on technical/digital projects with HPDD and OH and other key digital health organizations.

Contribute to the governance process to prioritize and review proposed, and in-flight projects based on a long-term roadmap.

Review new or current initiatives to ensure technical alignment and understanding of technical approaches

Collaborate as directed with key stakeholders to deliver and maintain project assets - documented and maintained in a high-level roadmap.
