Toromont Reman is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team The Reman Facilities Maintenance Technician will support an industrial maintenance department by providing technical expertise and specific knowledge in facilities maintenance, operations, and repairs. They will also have specialized training and experience on specific systems and equipment used within the site. They will further support the daily porter services and assist with keeping the interior and exterior of the facility in a tidy and well-organized manner when required.

**In a typical day, YOU will**:

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment and systems problems when dispatched.
- Experience including (but not limited to) the following equipment, systems and materials: Cranes, overhead beam, large and small hoists, and jib, parts washers, automated high bay doors and lift equipment, floor scrubbers, power washing equipment, drain interceptors and “typhoons”, water systems and plumbing, HVAC, boiler and HW systems, workstations - desk arrangements, site adds, moves and changes to the structure, facility envelop and grounds.
- Work with outside contractors to assist with orientation, set-up and execution of their work.
- Proactively inspect, test and perform daily rounds to the facilities envelop and operational systems.
- Assist and/or perform the duties of the day porter when required, including janitorial, consumable supply inventory management and general maintenance duties.
- Snow removal, salting and sanding when required maintaining safe access to the site.
- Keep detailed service records or production of facility equipment.
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health & Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives.
- Representative of the Concord Emergency Response Team.

**Must-haves for this role**:

- Post-Secondary Education in the skilled trades and/or equipment specific - OEM training.
- Trade License or equivalent facilities operations and maintenance experience
- Have work within a unionized environment to the highest safety standards.
- Experience working from heights and in confined spaces when assigned.
- Working within an industrial environment.
- Minimum 5 years within a facilities maintenance department.
- Shift work maybe assigned - days, afternoons and nights - incl. Weekends.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
- Must have a sense of urgency and be results driven with focus on continuous improvement.
- Able to work independently with virtual instruction and direction.
- Self-starter and a team player with strong initiative
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
