**About the Role**:

- Safilo_, a leading Italian eyewear creator, is seeking a self - motivated and a dynamic personality to join its team as an Independent Sales Representative. S/He will be the face of Safilo’s various brands and will be responsible for generating and increasing sales, market share and brand awareness throughout their respective territory. This is an independent contract position which is 100% commission based.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Shows samples, catalogs, and illustrations of the company's product lines
- Develop and maintaining strong relationships with key retailers and valued clients
- Strategizes with the team on prospects, strategic accounts and areas for development
- Attending national/regional tradeshows, sales meetings, and relevant company events.
- Scheduling seasonal product showings and meeting pre-book deadlines
- Understanding market trends, sell-thru data, sales forecasts, etc.
- Maintain the business, continue to grow the business, and foster relationships

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Prior Experience in optical, retail and/or fashion industry preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience - ability to read and analyze a spreadsheet
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, detail orientation, above average follow-through;
- Strong team player and able to communicate effectively
- Adeptness to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive and Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with a high attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and ability to work independently;
- A discerning taste and solid interest in eyewear/fashion
- Strong Entrepreneurial spirit and a gift for persuasion & negotiation skills.
