**Position Details**
- The University of Lethbridge is seeking a full-time Emergency and Security Services Manager.

The role of an Emergency and Security Services Manager is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the University of Lethbridge and the university community. The Manager of Emergency and Security Services is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, vision, and strategic direction for Security Services.

This position involves overseeing emergency response, crisis management, and security operations. The Emergency and Security Services Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive emergency response and security programs. The role involves coordinating with various departments such as Facilities, President’s Office, Occupational Health & Safety, Student Services, and other internal and external administrative and response stakeholders, training staff, and ensuring the organization’s readiness to effectively respond to emergencies and maintain a secure environment.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.

**Position Qualifications**
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, emergency management, business continuity, or related field. A combination of applicable other education and experience may be considered.
- Valid Alberta Security License and Investigators License.
- Knowledge and experience utilizing security technologies and risk management.
- Experience with the Incident Command System (ICS).
- Proven leadership experience with a track record for building and leading high performing teams.
- Effective supervisory and management experience, focused on performance development, leadership, and retention.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- A valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License with no more than 6 demerits and submission of a motor vehicle record (driver abstract) dated within 3 months of the posting close is required.

**Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $84,500.57 - $106,301.68 annually

**Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $84,500.57 - $128,102.79 annually (APO - Grade 5)
