Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, conducting proactive patrols, and responding to security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients and patrons
  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches
  • Respond to security alarms and emergencies promptly and professionally
  • De-escalate crisis situations and provide support as needed
  • Exercise crowd control and remove trespassers
  • Prepare clear and detailed reports on incidents, emergencies, and day-to-day activities
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required
  • Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
  • Handle lost and found items and inquiries

Requirements:

  • Able to obtain a valid Alberta security license
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong observational skills
  • Ability to make immediate decisions in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
  • Ability to walk 18/20km and navigate stairs

Education and Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Alberta Security License
  • An unrestricted Class 5 driver's license is considered an asset

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
