**About Position**:
The Caseworker - social work positions will help to serve various vulnerable people in our health, settlement and social services programs. The Caseworker will be working in our Geriatrics, Settlement, Addictions and Mental Health programs. The local priorities this position meets includes: projects supporting community based organizations, health care and social assistance, seniors and newcomers/refugees.

**Qualifications, Skills and Requirements**:

- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- Are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Are between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive)
- Diploma in social work or pursuing social services or related human services program will be an asset
- Knowledge of South Asian languages - Punjabi, Hindi or Urdu is an asset
- Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
- A satisfactory current Vulnerable Sector Screening (Criminal Record Check) report, at your own expense
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License, with regular access to a reliable vehicle and proof of adequate vehicle insurance is an asset
- Familiarity with Cloud technology and SharePoint is an asset
- Current first aid/ CPR certification is an asset
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a job requirement unless you have an exemption on a medical ground under the Ontario Human Rights Code.

**Duties and Responsibilities **_(not limited to)_**:

- Developing resources for the community, this could include making videos, brochures and program specific material.
- Taking part in outreach activities and engaging with community members
- Assisting with the intake and screening of new clients to the program
- Conducting client assessments or assisting a case manager with client assessments
- Administrative duties related to the program. Compiling case notes, filing, documentation, meeting minutes etc.
- Data entry and working with current program software.
- Development of PowerPoint presentations for community and staff.
- Attending internal and external meetings.
- Other related duties, as assigned
