We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working **Continous Improvement Specilaist to work full-time on our Day shift (Monday to Friday 7:00-15:00) at our Alliston facility.** We offer an Employee Stock Purchasing Plan, Defined contribution pension plan and medical/dental benefits on your first day

The following are dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)
- Constant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise
- Involves working around equipment, machinery, and belts

**What You'll Be Doing**

Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for:

- Identify improvements opportunities within the Viaflex Filling Department.
- Drive department performance transformation through process improvement initiatives.
- Lead 6S initiatives within the department to reach the department goals.
- Work with cross functional teams to drive projects to completion.

Duties performed on a daily basis
- Identifies, designs, and implements improvements that provide fast, sustainable, and low-risk/high-reward benefits for the assigned areas.
- Identifies improvements to cycle times, production sequences, material flow, etc. to ensure that the assigned area has the capacity to maintain the supply chain and/or introduce new products.
- Coaches’ area members on process ownership, standard ways of working and to have a sustainable process for improvement.
- Evaluates, recommends, and provides technical support in the selection, installation and qualification of processing equipment.
- Supports areas initiatives to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements (GMP, OSHA, EPA, SHE, etc.).
- Promotes a continuous improvement mentality.

Duties performed on a continual or intermittent basis
- Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles

**What You'll Bring**
- Successful completion of High school Diploma or GED
- Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Electronics
- Manufacturing/Quality/Continuous Improvement experience in a GMP environment
- Communicates well, mínimally comfortable at the interpersonal and small group levels.
- Strong ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent time management skills.
- Able to organize own work and prioritize work for others.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root cause
- Effectively leads and develops staff.
- Able to make decisions given sufficient input and support.
- Able to explain technical issues using verbal or written form clearly and logically.
