**Job Description**:
PTAG is seeking a Manager of Projects to lead a team of project management professionals of varying levels of seniority, who are engaged in various capacities on our client's industrial projects in the power, mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

**Responsibilities**:
\tManages and develops as required and administers a large, diverse team of professional/technical and support staff.
\tSupervise, plan organize, schedule, and coordinate project professionals including the day-to-day work assignments of junior staff ensuring that all work is of good quality, accuracy, and reflective of client requirements.
\tParticipate in and manage the development of PTAG project management training material and delivery of specified topics.
\tKeep abreast of new Project and Construction Management Best Practice developments and technological advancements for potential implementation within PTAG's Project Management Playbook and Handbook.
\tDirect and integrate the activities of project staff to support multiple, client project engagements.
\tEnsures that project staff efforts are cohesive, consistent, and effective in supporting client's project objectives in manner that is consistent with PTAG's values, mission, goals, and strategic plan.
\tParticipates in and oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of individual project objectives and short
- and long-range plans.
\tManages project progress tracking and evaluation methods to assist in the accomplishment of established project goals and objectives.
\tConduct annual performance appraisals of staff for review and approval.
\tManages the working relationships between Project delivery with PTAG Business Development, Operations, Finance Systems and Administration.
\tProvide project resources and participate in the development of client RFP's in coordination with Business Development.
\tDevelop and maintain up-to-date resourcing plans, providing advice to senior PTAG Executives with respect to resource availability and capability and other constraints.
\tInform senior PTAG Executives of staff

issues and make recommendations for rewards, training, promotion, discipline and or termination.\xa0
\tMaintains knowledge with respect to PTAG\'s strategic directions and plans, and relevant project support tools, systems, and technology
\tPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

\tBachelor\'s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
\tApplicants may be considered by demonstrating the equivalent level of education, training, and project work experience.
\tMinimum 10 years of experience in industrial project management with the last 5 years leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
\tAt least 2 years of experience on industrial construction sites.
\tExperience in working in a consulting environment (engineering, construction advisory services) managing project resource development, deployment, and utilization.
\tSolid Project and Construction Management knowledge of techniques, tools systems and methodology.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

\tDemonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
\tExperienced in the development of project governance, procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies.
\tKnowledge and understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
\tKnowledge of industrial project management, including construction and engineering practices and procedures.
\tKnowledge of current developments and trends in industry best practices and related technology.
\tSkill in business and financial planning and management.
\tAdvanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups.
\tAbility to effectively manage a large, diverse team of technical, professional, and support staff.
\tKnowledge and understanding of organization structure and workflow.
\tStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients in multiple industry sectors.
\tAble to engage staff and clients to address difficult issues effectively.
\tAbility to develop and implement short
- and long-range development and operational plans.
\tRequires knowledge of contracting methods, contract management, construction methods, codes and standards, quality assurance and health and safety.\xa0
\tExcellent networking and client relationship management skills; able to influence and manage key stakeholders and build trust and advocacy with clients.
\tContinuously willing to invest in learning, particularly in Project and Construction Management Best Practices.
\tLeadership skills, confidence, and ability to reach well thought, independent conclusions and influencing outcomes.
\tAbility to effectively lead and motivate teams and work constructively within an integrated environment.
