Effective April 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is $88,496 to $128,625 per year in compliance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to April 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

What can I expect to do in this role?

**You will be responsible for**:

- Providing authoritative technical advice and expertise on the design, development, deployment and ongoing operation of complex integrated systems and technology platforms that are aligned with our ministries' strategic priorities and transformation objectives
- Identifying complex systems issues, determining areas of risk, and recommending innovative alternatives and options for resolution
- Providing input into strategic/operational plans and project management policies and standards
- Determining approach and developing business cases for systems solutions
- Developing reports and recommendations to support senior level decision-making

**In this role you will**:

- Lead multiple concurrent projects, including identifying when to involve corporate resources (e.g. I&IT Security, contingency planning /disaster recovery teams) to ensure all aspects are considered and reflected in the solution design.
- Provide authoritative direction, leadership and technical guidance to staff and external service providers on multiple concurrent systems platform development, delivery and support projects.

How do I qualify?

**Technical Knowledge**:You have demonstrated knowledge of**:

- Systems integration principles, practices, tools and techniques, to oversee and ensure the full integration of multiple components in multiple design platforms
- IT solutions in a complex environment, including corporate I&IT security strategy, policies and plans, current and emerging IT security and contingency principles, methodologies, mechanisms and techniques
- Architectural domains, infrastructure technologies and development standards to review, provide authoritative advice, lead and coordinate the development and delivery of complex technology solutions.
- Systems/platform architecture, design, development, deployment and integration principles, practices and technologies such as Java EE,.NET Platform, CRM (e.g. Salesforce), API development (e.g. Mulesoft API platform), knowledge and experience of node.JS, Angular RESTFUL web services, HTML5, CSS/SCSS)

**Technical Experience**:You have demonstrated experience**:

- Providing service delivery management, resource management and operational planning for multiple complex systems platforms
- Assessing and evaluating client's program delivery platform needs and developing systems integration strategies to ensure components are fully integrated
- Identifying and assessing the impacts of new solutions or enhancements on existing services and infrastructure for performance, sustainability and robustness

**You have demonstrated knowledge of**:

- Hands-on experience implementing IT solutions and working with a variety of modern and emerging cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Experience identifying, assessing and resolving technical problems throughout the design, development and implementation life cycles on diverse platforms such as Java EE,.NET, CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
- You have technical experience with various programming languages, development techniques and development tools, such as Java Enterprise technologies (such as JPA or Hibernate, and Spring Framework),.Net platform, HTML, CSS, Jquery, and other emerging web technologies and cloud delivery/deployment models.
- You have knowledge and hands-on experience implementing IT solutions and working with a variety of modern and emerging technology
- You have familiarity and interest in learning, adapting emerging technology
