**Position Summary**
Under the direct supervision of the Manager of the **Security Department **, this **Part-time Security Officer **position is responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility (both internal and external) and the company's assets while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities
- Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
- Escorts cash/cash equivalents
- Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
- Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
- Escorts guests and team members as directed
- Performs identification checks
- Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
- Performs crowd control as directed
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed

**Education and Qualifications**
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
- Guard Force Training an asset
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate an asset
- Must be willing to recertify every 3 years for Use of Force Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming License
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SmartServe Certificate

**Work Environment Considerations**
- Regular casino environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
