We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team at 5th World. As a rapidly growing startup, we are dedicated to supporting regenerative and antifragile practices and changing mindsets and economic systems. Based in British Columbia, Canada, our international team of 20+ individuals is committed to fulfilling our mission through various initiatives including education, land regeneration and homestead consulting, and building tools and financial mechanisms to support land stewards in adopting regenerative and antifragile practices.
As the HR Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our team and ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and policies that align with our company's values and goals. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to attract, develop, and retain talent, ensuring the continued growth and success of our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated HR professional to contribute to a cutting-edge early stage startup.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's goals and culture.
- Oversee employee recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Manage employee relations, including culture building, appraisals and conflict resolution.
- Develop a strategy for performance management as well as coordinate employee performance evaluations to support circle leader's execution of evaluation.
- Work with stakeholders and if required, consultants, to develop company compensation strategy including policies and philosophy around base pay, sales pay, incentives pay and benefits
- Develop employee training and development initiatives to enhance skills and promote career growth.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant federal and provincial employment laws and regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration, or a related field
- CPHR designation required
- At least five years progressive experience in HR management roles and preferably experience working in a start-up environment.
- Strong knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies and policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with HR software and tools for employee management
