This job is 75% medical office assistant / referral co-ordinater.

**Wage and Salary**:
Hourly Rate: 19-22, with yearly increase, and end of year bonus based on performance.

Full benefits after 3 months

Schedule: 8am-4pm, M-F

Alberta ENT Consultants, a privately owned Ear, Nose, and Throat clinic is currently seeking full-time Medial Office Assistant to join their practice for a unique and rewarding opportunity.

Our goal at Alberta ENT Consultants is to provide unmatched quality and commitment to patient care when it comes to the treatment of ear, nose, and throat disorders.

We provide comprehensive medical treatment and surgery through a team of Canadian trained, board-certified ENT Surgeons and highly trained healthcare professionals.

Our ENT surgeons have both general otolaryngology and sub-specialty expertise including head and neck, laryngology, otology/neurotology, facial plastics, complex medical issues, and sleep/snoring. Alberta ENT Consultants provide surgical treatments through the University of Alberta Hospitals, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Grey Nuns Hospital, Leduc Hospital, Alberta Surgical Centre and Advanced Facial and Nasal Surgery Centre.

We have a full service ambulatory clinic in downtown Edmonton to serve our patients and have teamed up with Melody Audiology and Hearing and Aria Sleep MD to provide a full range of head and neck services in one center. Our surgeons are affiliated with the University of Alberta.

**Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Responsible for answering incoming calls, processing referrals, booking appointments,
- Attaching faxes and scans to the patient record. Maintaining patient files, tracking reports through Excel and following workflow protocol.

- Complete disability paperwork
- Linking documents and entering data to patient charts
- Independently manage 4-4:30 clinics by performing reception duties and assisting surgeon with patient requisitions, surgery paperwork, ordering additional testing
- Organizing referrals to other specialists, allergy work ups, CT/MRI, other medical tests ordered by the surgeons
- Ordering supplies and making pharmacy orders
- Make copies and ensure patient information booklets are stocked
- Creating prescriptions and requisitions for patients

**Required Competencies**:

**Educational Requirements**:
MOA certificate
High School Diploma

Customer service experience is an asset.
