Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario is a multi-service hub for youth aged 12-25 in Rockland and Cornwall. These sites provide rapid access to services that address the needs of youth related to mental health, substance use, primary care, employment/training, housing and other community and social services. This initiative, led jointly by the Cornwall Community Hospital, Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell, and Hawkesbury & District
General Hospital includes over 20 partner organizations.

**WHAT TO EXPECT?**
The Mental Health, Addiction & Eating Disorders Counsellor for the Eastern Champlain Youth Wellness Hub (ECYWH) works within an inter
- professional team to provide prevention, education, assessment, referral, counselling and follow-up services to youth (12 to 25 years old), and family members affected by mental health, addiction issues or eating disorders.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Master’s degree in psychology, psychotherapy, social work or other field related to health and social services with pertinent psychotherapy experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience working with people struggling with mental health and/or addiction problems, preferably with youth (12 to 25) and with individual, group or family intervention
- Clinical experience in eating disorder services including psychological and behavioural factors, including knowledge of risks specific to people with eating disorders
- Experience working in a community-based setting, with an interdisciplinary team and a vulnerable population
- Any experience related or transferable to the position will be considered
- Knowledge of current issues facing youth today, especially as related to mental health and substance use
- Knowledge of various treatment modalities specific to mental health and addiction such as cognitive behavior therapy; narrative single session/brief therapy
- Strong mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills to respond or assist in emergency situations (training in nonviolent crisis intervention is an asset)
- Knowledge of standard software, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, Microsoft teams, etc.
- Knowledge of community agencies and support services
- Ability to act as a resource for youth and Hub colleagues and provide them with the support they need to achieve their goals
- Team player with Strong analytical capabilities, empathy and equality focused
- Excellent ability to communicate in French and English orally and in writing
- A satisfactory and current Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Member in good standing of a recognized professional college allowing the practice of the role in Ontario
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle required

**BENEFITS AND SALARY**:

- Hourly rate between $34,01 and $40,96
- Pension plan and compensation in lieu of benefits
