**Job Posting: Outreach Worker - Weekday/Daytime Hours**

**Contract**:6 months with possibility of extension.

**Hours**: Set daytime M-F hours (20 hours per week), with opportunity to add on flexible evening/weekend hours (if wanted).

**Wage**: Competitive wages, based on experience.

**Location**: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Be a part of meaningful change in our community, offering a one of a kind support to families falling between the cracks of social services. An outreach worker is responsible for supporting a caseload of families that include children with disabilities or complex needs and attends sessions in-home. **We will provide training, supervision and mentorship from our expert clinical team.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- You will be required to meet families within their homes
- Nurturing positive relationships with families in high levels of distress
- Work with families within an adapted family centered practice model to come up with effective and realizable treatment techniques that will yield meaningful results
- Being part of an interdisciplinary team to work alongside families in new ways
- Be available Monday from 5-6pm for clinical supervision
- Be able to manage time and schedule within allotted hours

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Education in social work, counseling, social services, respite
- Experience and expertise managing aggression
- At least one year of experience working with children/youth with complex behavior
- Have a valid driver's license and access to a car to attend home visits
- Experience working independently and with mínimal supervision
- Effective interpersonal communication and listening skills
- Demonstrated skills in case planning, crisis management, and programming
- Knowledge and understanding of youth development, family centered-care
- Experience working in cross-cultural settings
- Clear and current Criminal Record Check Clear and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Indigenous helpers society certification _(preferred)_
- Have lived experience with children/youth with differences in a caregiving role _(preferred) _
- Clinical psychology or social work designation so that clients can use benefits _(preferred) _
- Knowledge of neurodiversity and complex neurology _(preferred)_
