Position: Maintenance Crew Head

Reporting to: Maintenance Department Head

Wage Rate: $25.45 hourly rate / 35 hours per week (Plus Benefits and RSP)

The Position

The Shaw Festival is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Crew Head. Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting skills required. Experience with a variety of hand and power tools. This position will perform routine inspections, troubleshooting and maintenance throughout the facilities, physical set-up of workshop and public event spaces, respond to Maintenance Work Requests, answer and address emergency calls as needed and perform other duties as assigned to ensure patron safety and enjoyment.

Must be able to work independently, with mínimal supervision, and also as part of a team. Must be able to exercise physical effort in lifting heavy items and equipment (up to 50lbs) and perform maintenance routines under a variety of conditions.

Must be available for day, evening and weekend shifts.
