**Position Details**:
**Location**: Hybrid (Remote 4 days & In-person 1 day/week if possible); Assigned to Rugby Ontario. Office address: Abilities Centre, 1 Jim Flaherty Street, Whitby ON L1N 0J2). Some additional days, such as event days, will require being onsite.
**Type of Position**: Full-time Term Contract (May-August; TBD based on Canada Summer Jobs approved funding). Non-traditional work hours will be required at times.
**Wage**: Ontario Minimum wage ($16.55/hour)
**Start Date**: As soon as possible. Date to be Determined.

**What You Will Do**:League and Competition Preparation**:

- Collaborate with the League and Competitions team to ensure seamless preparation for the Ontario Women’s League and Marshall League (Men’s Senior League).
- Manage schedule changes and fixture updates throughout the season.
- Contribute to the development of festival-style scheduling on a bi-weekly basis.

**Event Management**:

- Play a key role in organizing and coordinating major events such as the 2024 Junior Cup Day and 2024 U14 Wrap Up Day, OWL Cup etc.
- Contribute to logístical planning, including venue setup, awards presentations, and check-in logistics.
- Assist in marketing and promotional activities to enhance event visibility and attendance.

**Competition Administration**:

- Support day-to-day administration of Rugby Ontario competitions.
- Work closely with the Competitions team to address any issues during the competition season.
- Assist in the administration of Rugby Ontario competitions management software.
- Ensure accurate data entry, upload competition schedules, and provide user support as needed.

**Stakeholder Communication**:

- Assist in communications with Rugby Ontario member clubs regarding club competitions.
- Respond to inquiries, provide information, and coordinate with clubs to ensure effective communication.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to disseminate relevant information through various channels.

**High-Performance Support**:

- Provide logístical administration support for representative teams.
- Assist in the marketing and promotion of Provincial Programs.
- Handle facility bookings for all provincial representative programs.
- Engage with program stakeholders at provincial events and support operational duties.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director, Rugby Operations and/or Chief Executive Officer.

**Desired Experience and Qualifications**:Must-haves**:

- A post-secondary level of education or in current study in a related field of study (i.e. Sports Management, Recreation, Event Planning/Management, Community Development)
- Prior experience working in a sports organization
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional planning, analytical and reporting skills
- Self-directed and results-oriented with the ability to multi-task and problem-solve
- Proficient computer skills using both Mac and PC and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule and in a remote work environment setting
- Demonstrated strong values and ethics in accordance with Rugby Ontario’s organizational values (and other Rugby Ontario policies), through personal and professional behaviours
- Demonstrated experience working with and supporting volunteers and/or in customer service
- Current, clear criminal record checks for the vulnerable sector required
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability/willingness to travel.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Rugby Ontario and the Ontario rugby community is an asset but not essential.checks
- Demonstrated experience working in competitions and events (e.g. scheduling, logistics planning, database management, etc.)
