Reporting to the Director, Rugby Operations, the Coordinator, Leagues & Competitions, will support the planning and administration of junior/age-grade and senior competitions as well as Rugby Ontario’s Championship and Cup events (e.g. McCormick Cup, Ontario Women’s League Cup, Junior 7s Championships, etc.). This position provides a critical and fundamental service to support Rugby Ontario’s 65+ member clubs and all participants. At the direction of the Director, Rugby Operations, this role will also provide administrative and logístical direction to Rugby Ontario’s numerous leagues, tournaments and championship events each year. A close working relationship with other members of the Rugby Ontario team and other relevant community stakeholders, partners and committees, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills, will be essential to the successful achievement of this position’s objectives.

**Position Details:**:Upon joining the team, you will receive;**:

- $42,000-$47,000 per annum, based on experience;
- Comprehensive health and dental benefits;
- 2 weeks of paid time off annually;
- Full-time salaried position, standard business hours (9 am - 5 pm). The nature and scope of this position may, from time to time, require, particularly through extended periods of the year, the need for work to be scheduled outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, with a willingness to travel when required.
- Hybrid work environment - remote four (4) days a week, in office minimum of one (1) day a week in the Rugby Ontario office. (Office Address: Abilities Centre, 1 Jim Flaherty Street, Whitby ON L1N 0J2)

**What you’ll be doing**:
Under the leadership of the Director, Rugby Operations, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Coach and Match Official Development Program. This includes building a close working relationship with other members of the Rugby Ontario team and relevant community and club stakeholders, partners, and committees. This, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills, will be essential to the successful achievement of this position’s objectives. At the core, we are seeking a strong sport coordinator with a passion to grow this invaluable part of the rugby community.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Data entry and management of data in department and competition management databases;
- Work closely with relevant Rugby Ontario/Rugby Canada staff to ensure Rugby Ontario competitions, leagues, and tournaments are correctly sanctioned and insured.
- With direction from the Rugby Department Lead and in liaison with the Coordinator, Events, provide planning and delivery support to all Rugby Ontario competition events, including the Marshall League, Ontario Women’s League, Senior and Junior Championship and Cup events (i.e. McCormick Cup, OWL Cup, Fall Cup, Gee Gage Cup, Intermediate Cups), Junior Club 15s and 7s Championships, Mixed Ability Rugby “All In Rugby Cup”, and school rugby competitions (where feasible).
- Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies for competitions.
- Development and maintenance of applicable sections on the Rugby Ontario website.
- Update and maintain the relevant content of the Rugby Ontario Operations Manual pertaining to League Management.
- Prepare internal and external focused reports as required.
- Order, distribute, track and maintain league and competitions equipment.
- Coordinate the use of volunteers at competitions, when volunteers are being used;
- Survey design and analysis for competition programs and quality assurance.
- Coordinate approval of terms of league operation and teams in League assignment for all Regional Leagues and Provincial Leagues;
- Assist regional Branch convenors in planning Branch leagues and competitions as required to ensure meaningful competition and the maintenance of adherence to policies and procedures.
- Support relevant aspects of Rugby Ontario’s registration/membership program, delivering key services to Member Clubs & Branches and individuals in relation to participation in sanctioned leagues and competitions, including registration, player transfers, sanctioning, team sheet management and other policy management as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director, Rugby Operations and/or Chief Executive Officer.
