**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Health Services Manager for Primary Health Care (PHC) or designate, the Secretary II will work remotely to provide provincial support to the virtual platform and respond to provider queries about the program. The Secretary II will work collaboratively with family physicians, nurse practitioners, the VCNS team and other health care providers and teams and will perform the following duties/responsibilities:
Reporting to the Health Services Manager for Primary Health Care (PHC) or designate, the Secretary II will perform the following duties/responsibilities:

- Perform general reception duties, including telephone contact with providers and staff
- Receive and responds to inquiries and requests, both on the phone and in person, exercising sound judgment, courtesy, and confidentiality
- Ensures complete and accurate billing for the practice providers in the EMR and submits to MSI
- Reviews daily provider schedules
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying and maintaining sufficient inventory of supplies
- Provide program assistance which may include brochure development, planning and coordination of launches, educational sessions and other special events as related to various projects
- Transcribe and distribute minutes of various committees and working groups as requested by management team
- Assist with the planning and organization of various meetings as requested by management team
- Collect data, performs data entry and maintains other relevant information as required by NShIS, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and generates statistical reports as required
- Assist with tracking expenditures and Physician billings through the organization of expenses in excel documents as requested
- Work with mínimal supervision, using sound judgment to make decisions
- Responsible to hold in confidence all matters pertaining to clients, staff, and the provider
- Other related duties as assigned

This position has flexibility to work remotely.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade XII required
- Graduate of a recognized office administration program required
- Two years related experience required
- Certificate in medical terminology preferred
- Experience working in an EMR (Accuro preferred)
- Experience in billing preferred
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute with accuracy
- Computer literacy including demonstrated skills in EMR, Word, Excel, and Publisher
- Background in health care preferred
- Demonstrates an awareness of organizational and community needs
- Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position such as working flexible hours, dealing with stressful situations and travelling within the Community Health Network and to other areas as required
- Fluent in French and English preferred

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.25 - $22.50 Hourly
