_**GENERAL SUMMARY**_

The Receiver is responsible for the timely and accurate receipt of items ordered and placed in specified areas of the warehouse while following all safety protocols and workplace policies. According to the company or customer needs, the receiver may be required to also prepare items for shipment, for which he/she must have detailed knowledge of proper shipping techniques and procedures.
- **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)**_
- Receives product, data entry of daily receiving checks defects visually, verifies product to packing slips, unpacks product and stocks shelves
- Confirms that all paperwork pertaining to the shipment is accurate and matches purchase orders
- Takes corrective action in the instance of overages, shortages, damaged or incorrect items and improper documentation. Communicates with both Lead Hand and Buyer on such issues
- Maintains product locations
- Applies labeling, tags and organizes the warehouse for optimal picking and inventory counts
- Conducts periodical cycle counts and location scrubs on products
- Sorts and stores materials
- Band/Wrap all unstable & top rack loads
- Pick/prepare parts, orders for shipment International and Domestic
- Ensures that the warehouse is kept organized and clean
- Ensures racking and equipment are in good working order
- Ensures that all products are moved and stored in a safe manner
- Safely move and unload material using cranes, lift trucks or handcarts out of tractor trailers or other vehicles
- Ensures proper tagging and product identification is attached to materials
- Ensures that proper wheel chocking procedures are in place
- Monitor material consumption and advise Lead hand of potential shortfalls
- Stage pallets, crates and parcels for loading in proper staging area
- Daily inspect cranes and record on the inspection sheet
- Daily inspect tow motors, if used and record on the inspection sheet
- Clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment and tools
- Determine and discuss with supervisor any potential process improvements
- Shared responsibility for demonstrating professionalism and respect for all employees of DeZURIK
- Participate in and provide assistance with the annual physical inventory count
- Enter parts order status into Shop Tracker
- Other duties as assigned
- **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**_
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Certified to operate overhead crane
- Certified to operate manual and/or electric pallet truck, reach truck, counter balance forklift
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to prioritize work according to the shipment schedule
- Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete a job
- Good verbal, listening and written communication skills to effectively communicate with people at all levels of business

- **PHYSICAL DEMANDS**_
- Ability to lift heavy objects, may be required to move items up to 30 kgs for distances up to 3 meters
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry parts as required
- Work regularly in conditions that include noise, heat, humidity and exposure to dust
- Ability to fulfill the physical requirements per the physical demands analysis
- **WORKING CONDITIONS**_

A fast-paced environment that may be stressful at times in response to manufacturing environment conditions. Work performed in a manufacturing environment. Use of Personal Protective Equipment will be required (e.g. safety boots, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection).
