**About this team**:
As a member of the product team, the Global Planning team is responsible for ensuring the efficient management of inventory for the company. They work closely with the regional teams to understand new product trends, regional needs, size trends, and logistics. The team monitors inventory levels on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, assessing changes in trends and adjusting strategies to optimize inventory management and mitigate risks. The priority is to understand and protect the guest experience, followed by maintaining effective inventory control and supporting profitable sales growth.
**A day in the life**:
Reporting to Global Planning Manager, this role will be responsible for managing and analyzing on-orders and receipts, providing critical inventory insights, and supporting our global merchandise planning strategies. Your work will help ensure optimal inventory levels and support the company's overall merchandise objectives.
- Orders and Receipts Analytics: Analyze and monitor order patterns and receipts data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Generate and interpret reports to guide inventory decisions and enhance merchandise planning.
- Inventory Insights: Develop and maintain inventory insights to optimize stock levels across global locations. Work closely with the planning team to forecast demand and ensure alignment with sales objectives and market trends.
- Data Management: Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within planning systems. Conduct regular audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborative Planning: Partner with cross-functional teams including DC operations, supply chain, and sales to align merchandise plans with inventory availability and market demands.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turnover, stockouts, and overstock situations. Provide actionable recommendations based on performance metrics.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed analysis and reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and proposing strategies for optimization.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of merchandise planning and inventory management.

**Qualifications**:

- College certificate or University degree is required
- 1-3 years merchandise planning or inventory management experience
- 2-3 years proven experience with data analysis
- Expert knowledge of Excel & Power Bi for report building is required.
- Financial acumen and understanding of retail math
- Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
- Extremely organized, thorough and able to prioritize
- Detail orientated
