As a
**Product Owner**, you work with clients and product teams to oversee the development of artificial intelligence / machine learning software products. You work closely with customers, Project Delivery Managers and Development Teams to define AI/ML use cases, identify customer needs, evaluate commercializable product opportunities from single customer engagements as well as to write and prioritize product requirements. This role is also responsible for building lightweight user experience documentation such as business process maps, personas, user journeys, wireframes and low code/no code prototypes that help customers understand the product vision and provide effective feedback.

**Responsibilities relating to executing Product Owner activities**:

- Work with domain experts, existing customers and potential customers in the market to research and document high value AI/ML use case opportunities
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to understand customer goals and pain points and identify opportunities where our machine learning capabilities may have significant positive impact
- Build business process maps, personas, user journeys, wireframes and prototypes to help customers understand the product vision and how they may use applied AI/ML products to generate business value
- Develop excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure their domain insights help drive product success.
- Collaborate with AI/ML software teams to develop solutions, and break these into features and user stories.
- Develop, manage and prioritize product backlogs.
- Communicate the voice of the customer to the dev team
- Develop and manage product roadmaps based on the agreed upon product vision
- Work with product managers to identify solutions that could scale to many customers as commercializable products
- Conduct market research into existing products and solutions

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- A bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, IT or Engineering)
- Experience in management consulting, software development or product management/design/development
- Experience with customer discovery: facilitating workshops, interviews and/or customer engagements to understand customer goals and pain points and make recommendations for acceptable solutions
- Proven collaboration skills including working closely with cross-functional teams of developers, project delivery managers and IT specialists.
- Experience conducting market research to determine opportunity size, estimate value to customers
- Experience identifying risks and ways to test them as quickly as possible.
- Superior knowledge of agile methodologies, frameworks and processes
- Foundational knowledge of AI/ML (Business level)
- Knowledge of technology implementations
- Knowledge of one or more of the following industries: Health, Public Sector, Oil and Gas, Construction, Insurance, Financial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Services, or Information Technology
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Superior client relationship skills
- Superior research skills
- Creative and curious
- Conflict resolution

**Preferred Skills & Experience**:

- Certificate and/or past experience as a Product Owner
- Experience developing product roadmaps or equivalent plans
- Prior experience working in data analytics or AI projects
- Experience with organizational change management
- Knowledge of user experience design is desirable
