**Position Summary**:
The The Data Product Owner is integral to driving the development, implementation, and improvement of data products. This role necessitates a solid grasp of both business goals and technical capabilities to translate stakeholder needs into actionable requirements for data teams. Serving as a vital link between business and technical domains, they ensure data products align with strategic objectives and deliver tangible value. Data Product Owner isn't just a facilitator; they're a visionary steward of organizational data assets, balancing business needs with technical realities to guide the organization towards data-driven success. Responsibilities encompass overseeing the entire data product lifecycle, from concept to execution. They distill complex business requirements into clear directives and advocate for necessary resources. Strategic alignment is paramount, ensuring data products remain in sync with organizational goals. Cultivating collaboration and innovation is key. By fostering open communication and shared understanding, the Data Product Owner encourages creativity and drives progress. Through leadership and strategic guidance, they facilitate data product development while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This enables the organization to harness its data effectively, making informed decisions and fostering sustainable growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Product Vision and Strategy_
- Define and communicate the long-term vision and strategic direction for data products.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities for product innovation.
- Requirements Management_
- Gather, prioritize, and document business requirements for data products, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Translate the data product strategy into actionable tasks and work with cross-functional agile teams to execute those requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear and actionable requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Business Strategy and Operations Knowledge_
- Understand the organization's business strategy and operations to align data product development with overarching goals.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities where data products can drive efficiency, revenue growth, or cost savings.
- Stakeholder Collaboration_
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to gather insights and validate requirements.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
- Product Development_
- Lead Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint review sessions.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data products that meet stakeholder expectations.
- Promotes data products to internal and external stakeholders, showcasing their value and capabilities.
- Engage with data marketplace platforms to facilitate the exchange of data products within the organization or with external partners.
- Quality Assurance_
- Ensure Technical BA’s define and implement robust testing strategies and acceptance criteria to ensure the quality and reliability of data products.
- Ensure BA’s conduct thorough testing and validation of data products to identify and address any issues or defects.
- Performance Monitoring_
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance and usage of data products.
- Analyze performance data and user feedback to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
- Risk Management_
- Identify potential risks and issues related to data product development and deployment, proactively mitigating risks.
