**Position Overview**:
The Team Lead will provide leadership and guidance to the team of support workers who work within our Moving Forward Program. This includes service delivery, administration, and staffing decisions, as well as bringing all work performance feedback to management in order for proper follow up, and supervising case management and consultations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all services are delivered in a respectful, efficient, and effective manner, promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for the Individuals we serve.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
1. _Team Leadership:_ Provide strong leadership to a team of 10+ staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment; ensure all team members understand and fulfill their roles and responsibilities.
2. _Staff Development_: Support the professional growth and development of team members through training, coaching, and performance management initiatives. Ensure feedback is brought to management for follow up. Address issues promptly and constructively. Participate in staffing decisions, including hiring.
3. _Program Oversight:_ Ensure adherence to organizational standards and policies including ensuring that services are person-centered.
4. _Client Support: _Collaborate with staff to assess individual needs and develop personalized support plans, promoting independence and community participation for clients.
5. _Quality Assurance:_ Monitor service delivery to ensure high-quality, person-centered care, and compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
6. _Community Engagement: _Represent Community Roots Support Services in the community, building partnerships and advocating for the needs of individuals receiving support services.
7. _Administrative Duties:_ Scheduling, procurement, new client intakes, record keeping, reporting, and other administrative tasks related to team operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
8. _Case Management:_ Supervise case management and consultations with CLBC. Ensure that all cases are managed effectively and that consultations are conducted professionally and respectfully.
9. Performs other duties, as required.
**Qualifications**
- Education and Knowledge_
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the support services sector
- Two years recent supervisory experience, preferred
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- BC Criminal Record Check Clearance
- Valid class 5 Drivers License and reliable vehicle (preferred).
- Clean Drivers Abstract
