Allied Universal is seeking** Professional Emergency Dispatcher in Fort saskatchewan.**
**EMERGENCY DISPATCHER REQUIRED (Salary: $26. 30/hour)**
We are currently seeking an Emergency Dispatcher (12-hour shift on a rotating shift schedule - FULL TIME HOURS) at one of our industrial sites located on the outskirts of Fort Saskatchewan. This is a permanent full-time position starting immediately. The Emergency Dispatcher position is excellent with customers, strong computer skills, has an impressive ability to communicate and is confident with dealing with high pressure situations.
**Duties include, but are not limited to**:
Receiving emergency calls and obtaining information regarding the emergencies
Dispatching appropriate emergency services to the location of the incident
Transmit necessary information to field personnel via radio or telephone communication systems.
Perform interface functions between site and external agencies during a site-wide emergency.
Monitor video surveillance cameras and access control alarms.
Follow radio and emergency telephone procedures.
Prioritize calls for service and manpower allocation.
Immediately enact the public complaint process upon receipt of a public complaint or concern
Oversee basic operation of security alarm systems.
Perform after-hour callouts for personnel.
**Requirements**:
Ability to deal with high pressure situations
Ability to work in fast paced environment and able to work under pressure
Ability to make sound decisions using all available information.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Have a reliable vehicle to travel to the site
Must have VALID Driver's License (May be requested to provide 5-year drivers abstract upon hire)
Must have Grant MacEwan Emergency Communications Certificate (or equivalent) OR 911 Operator experience OR minimum 3 years Industry related Security and Emergency Dispatch Experience.
Must be flexible and be able to work days, afternoons and nights
Read, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving, and receiving instructions, using phones
Be available to work morning, afternoons, evenings and overnight
If applicable, valid work visa
Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting; will require strong computer skills
Must have a strong attention to detail
**Salary: $26.30 /hour**
