**Part-time Childcare Worker**

Closing Date: May 3rd at 4pm

Pacific Post Partum Support Society is a small non-profit and charitable organization that has been providing mental health and emotional support to new parents and families since 1971.

We are currently seeking on-site Childcare Worker’s for children of parents attending a two-to-three-hour weekly group meeting at our Vancouver location.

**CURRENTLY HIRING FOR**
- 1 Childcare Workers in Vancouver (W 10th & Ontario cross-street)

Monday's from approximately 9:30am-12:15pm (Morning Shift)

Anticipated start date: ASAP
- 1 Childcare Workers in Vancouver (W 10th & Ontario cross-street)

Monday’s from approximately 12pm-2:30pm (Afternoon Shift)

Anticipated start date: ASAP

These days and times may vary.

Effective October 26, 2021, by order of the Public Health Officer, all new Childcare Workers will need to have full COVID 19 vaccinations (have received a full series of a World Health Organization “WHO” approved vaccine against infection by SARS-COV-2, or a combination of approved WHO vaccines).

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Education/training & licensing are assets.
- Valid first aid certificate from an approved course or willingness to acquire one.
- Food Safe an asset.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Previous experience working with infants and toddlers.
- Able to work directly with parents to meet the needs of their children.
- Able to establish trusting relationships with both parents and children.
- Understanding of postpartum depression, anxiety, and difficult adjustment is an asset.

**KEY RESPONSIBUTIES AND DUTIES**
- Maintain a calm, safe environment.
- Assist with all childcare duties.
- Provide attentive observation of the children.
- Review all concerns about the children's health with the group facilitator.
- Report and document any concerns related to abuse or neglect to the group facilitator immediately.
- Listen attentively to parents’ concerns and issues.
- Adhere to the facility cleaning procedures.
- Adhere to the facility's current health policy to ensure mínimal transmission of disease.
- Follow the facility's policies and procedures.
- Provide quality care at all times.
- Provide modeling for practicum students and other volunteer childminders.
- Sign Confidentiality Agreement.

**Rate of Pay**

$17.50 per hour plus 6% holiday pay plus $0.79 per hour Health & Wellness Benefit
