Purpose and General Description:_**

Are you passionate about conserving some of Quebec’s most important natural spaces? Do you want to have a positive, lasting impact on nature? Are you looking for a well-rounded position to kick-start your conservation career with hands-on experience? We want to hear from you

Under the supervision of the collaboration and communication coordinator of the Quebec Ecological Corridors Initiative (QECI), the intern will participate in raising awareness and improving understanding of ecological connectivity and the QECI. This will be achieved in part by creating content for social networks or other platforms, and by producing scientific literature reviews and popularizing science.

Duties and Responsibilities:_**
- Conduct literature reviews;
- Create summary sheets based on literature reviews;
- Create visuals and texts for IQCÉ's social networks, and plan their publication
- Assist coordination in promoting IQCÉ
- Other duties as assigned

**_
Required Skills and Attributes:_**
- Competence in popularizing science
- Knowledge of social media and communication strategies
- Knowledge of scientific article search tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other software such as Canva
- Thoroughness
- Organizational skills, ability to identify and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Terms of Employment:_**
- Subject to funding, this is a 16 week position from May 6, 2024, until August 23, 2024;
- Compensation: $20.00/hour;
- Evening and weekend work may be required but is infrequent.
