**The Principal is required to provide leadership to St. Andrews School in High Prairie **St. Andrew’s School is a Catholic K-12 school with a population of approximately 400 students and 48 staff including teachers, educational assistants, office and library staff, custodians, and school mental health and wellness workers.

The administration team includes a full-time Principal and Vice-Principal.

The school believes in promoting Catholic values throughout the school and provides a full complement of core academics, fine arts, technology, CTS and physical education. St. Andrew’s strives to make a safe and positive environment for all students and staff; to provide a place where they feel confident and comfortable to strive to be the best they can be.

The Principal position will start for the 2023-24 school year.

Be a practicing Catholic who demonstrates a commitment to the Catholic Faith Can create a culture of high expectation for students, staff and effectively partner the administrators, teachers, support staff, parents and the community
- Can cultivate a climate of mutual respect with students promoting engagement and have a proven ability to build relationships
- Provide leadership in the implementation of assessment and reporting
- Demonstrate effective communication, facilitation, and problem solving skills Promote and model lifelong learning for students and staff
- Effectively plan, organize, and manage the human and physical resources of the school Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
- The capacity to provide collaborative leadership and engagement of stakeholders Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
- Proficiency in the use of technology to enhance pedagogy
- A commitment to students success
- Demonstrate flexibility and a readiness to take on roles and challenges as they arise in order to meet School and Division goals
- Knowledge and experience with cultural background and traditions of First Nations, Metis and Inuit Students
- Will be eligible to be a teacher in the province of Alberta
- Will lead the school’s administrative team and participate in division training and initiatives.
- Experience with elementary, junior high and senior high levels would be an asset Preference will be given to applicants with a Master’s Degree or who are working towards their Master’s Degree.
