Jordan's Principle Educational Assistant

The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision and evaluation of the students.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferred
  • some experience working with children in an organized setting preferred
  • preference will be given to those with NVCI training
  • experience working with Indigenous communities with first-hand knowledge of Indigenous cultures, practices, and issues is an asset
  • experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviors is an asset
  • ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care
