**Summary**:
The Analyst, Business Solutions is tasked with supporting the day-to-day operational tasks within the Business Solutions department. This role involves actively participating in the analysis of operational processes and systems, understanding business requirements, and leveraging data insights. The Analyst, Business Solutions works to identify areas for improvement, address inefficiencies, and contribute to the implementation of solutions that enhance workflow efficiency and overall performance. This position requires a proactive approach to regular Business Solutions operations, collaboration with various teams, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The Analyst, Business Solutions reports to the Manager, Business Solutions.

**Required Skills and Abilities**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Analysis, Information Systems or a related field; a combination of education and related work experience will be considered.
- Data analytics related certifications considered an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma certifications considered an asset.
- Programming languages considered an asset.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a data analysis related role.
- Demonstrated skills in information management and handling of large data sets.
- Background in Business Intelligence (BI) systems an asset.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint, including the creation of pivot tables, and data analysis tables.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, contractors and/or external stakeholders.
- Ability to allocate one’s time effectively and manage tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly technical writing.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills which utilize data and critical thinking.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong customer service skills and a diplomatic approach to successfully building relationships with and solve problems for internal and external customers.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly growing/changing environment with a high degree of resourcefulness and adaptability.
- Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written with both internal and external stakeholders; Experience communicating with media an asset
- Relationship Skills -Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships at all levels of the organization; be a mature and self-motivated team player with good conflict-resolution and people management skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Valuation & Assessment:

- Gather and organize relevant data about properties, including market trends, comparable sales, and property characteristics.
- Analyze data to assess the value of properties, considering factors such as location, condition, and market conditions.
- Research local real estate market trends, zoning regulations, and property transactions.
- Stay updated on economic and demographic factors affecting property values.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with senior appraisers to contribute to the appraisal process.
- Provide support in the preparation of appraisal documents and presentations.
- Use specialized software and tools for data analysis and report generation.
- Stay updated on technological advancements in real estate appraisal methodologies.
