**About you/Qualifications**:

- At least one year in a professional or corporate environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Access/PowerPoint/Excel
- CMHC/Commercial Mortgage experience is an asset
- Legal Assistant experience is an asset
- Flexible and adaptable / able to multi-task under pressure
- Detail oriented
- Quality focus
- Proficient in tasks planning on a day to day basis
- Team oriented approach to success

**About the day to day**:

- Input and verify static data in our PPLUS system for AML/KYC information, loan setup, renewal, assumption, takeout, diaries including; undertakings, taxes, CMHC requirements, and taxes.
- Calculate and process advances to meet closing deadlines of pools, purchases, or draws.
- Maintain digital filing records by using standard naming, scanning, and uploading documents to a library.
- Assist with monthly departmental reporting on non-sufficient funds, arrears, out of order, funding report, loans checklist, and diaries.
- Act as the primary contact for solicitor, and insurance consultants both to instruct and perfect our security interest by ensuring security is acceptable, and addressing issues that arise escalating to management, or underwriting as needed.
- Prepare mortgage postings, cheque requisitions, pac’s, deposit slips for various loan transactions.
- Participate in Peoples & Culture strength development, and mandatory assigned learning.
- Liaise with internal departments and forward information for loan monitoring post-closing.
- Make recommendations to eliminate and automate tasks for improvement to procedures and processes.
- Understand new policies, processes, or legislation (OSFI, CMHC, Fintrac) regarding commercial mortgage.
