**Job Summary/Mission**
We are looking for a well organized, solutions-oriented Brand Manager who thrives in a dynamic work environment. The Brand Manager will have an assigned portfolio of brands to oversee and manage on a day-to-day basis to maximise their sales and profitability. In addition, the Brand Manager will support the Director of Brands in other projects that will support the growth of all brands at TallGrass. The Brand Manager reports to the Director of Brands.
**Outcomes/Critical Success Factors**
- Champion annually set revenue and profitability growth for assigned portfolio of brands
- Build strong relationships with brand partners and TallGrass stakeholders, internal and external to the company by holding monthly internal and external meetings
- Manage margins, promotions, and pricing strategy to maximize top line sales and bottom-line profit by brand; achieve budgeted quarterly net gross margin contribution for each assigned brand
- Develop & execute sales and marketing budgets for each brand and work with sales and marketing teams to ensure sales and margin results are achieved by brand
- Use data and insights (internal and external) to make strategic decisions on brand and product positioning
- Work in partnership with operations to ensure product inventory matches business seasonality distribution & marketing plans
- Develop product launch and innovation plans and timelines to secure consumer interest and retail distribution.
- Ongoing support and assistance with Brand Team projects as defined by the Director of Brands
**Competencies**
- Demonstrated success managing extensive product mix from launch through rationalization
- Prior experience with Natural Health industry CPG products - preferably in the VMS (Vitamins, Minerals, Supplements and/or Personal Care categories preferred.
- Proven track record managing brand performance (P&L) for $5M+ sales
- Ability to sift through a multitude of data from consumer and customer feedback, competitive information and category data to create relevant strategies and recommendations
- Strong quantitative skills and understanding of financial statements, margin goals, marketing budgets and brand management strategies
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
- Passion for the natural health industry
- SAP Business One and Phocas software experience would be an asset but not required as training will be provided as needed
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Word
- Self-motivated, ambitious, high achiever, entrepreneurial mindset
