**Job Description**:
What you'll be doing
As the Consultant, Client Strategies you’ll be accountable for partnering to support the design, development and execution of strategies to drive growth in our strategic segments. You’ll leverage data, insights and industry trends to develop strategies that attract new clients by offering engaging programs and personalized experiences with our bank.
This is a highly collaborative mandate with lots of exposure across the bank and will require strong thought leadership, strategic decision-making, proactive stakeholder management, and collaboration across product, marketing and channel partners to execute and track multiple initiatives. Additionally, the role will support the VP, Client Strategy in managing the teams larger cross segment strategies, including annual planning and management of resources.
Work is varied and diverse, but you can expect it will involve 1) identifying, articulating and executing new opportunities for growing our business, 2) defining client engagement journeys for all strategic segments, and 3) monitoring and tracking progress and adjusting plans to meet client growth metrics.
The focus of this role will be flexible to meet the needs of our evolving client strategy as the market and industry changes and as revenue opportunities emerge.

How You’ll Succeed- Cross-functional Collaboration, Planning & Execution - You will partner with stakeholders from across CIBC (e.g., our Frontline, Marketing, Product, and Digital teams) to lead client growth and experience focused strategic initiatives for our priority segments: holding strategy sessions, define and map end-to-end client journey, assess cost and feasibility, and execute programs. You will support the creation of differentiated solutions that meet the needs of our partners to achieve defined measures of success.- Seeking New Opportunities and Growing the Business - Personal and business banking across Canada is evolving quickly, not just disrupting but also providing significant opportunities for growth. You will ensure that we’re streamlined and ready to act quickly to changes and opportunities. This will involve turning research and analysis into an easily consumable story, articulating opportunities and creating buy-in amongst stakeholders.- Presentation & Communication - You are highly skilled at both written and oral communication. You can effectively articulate issues / recommendations via your analyses and have a proven track record in creating materials meant to be shared with executives, the board, and external partners.- Relationship Building: Strong negotiation, influencing and networking skills necessary to gain commitment and support for the various initiatives led by the client strategy team.
