**Job Description**:
As the **Clinical Manager, Hemodialysis, **you will oversee the delivery and coordination of patient services in the In-Centre Hemodialysis Unit and the Wellington St. Satellite Site. The Clinical Manager will be responsible for the daily operations and coordination of inpatient and outpatient dialysis services and will lead and support various Ontario Renal Network (ORN) initiatives as part of achieving the strategic objectives in the Ontario Renal Plan 4. The Manager will lead an inter-professional team in providing high quality nephrology care, leading, and supporting strategic initiatives in collaboration with other members of the Nephrology team.

The Clinical Manager prepares budgets and manages department resources, develops a human resource plan for the department and provides effective leadership for the staff in the department. The Clinical Manager also contributes to program planning and operations as well as participating in hospital-wide initiatives.

In your role as Clinical Manager, you will lead and support teams in process improvement for the hemodialysis program, working with the current leadership and teams to improve processes and facilitate staff and patient engagement towards meeting deliverables. As the Manager for hemodialysis, you will plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate initiatives related to these services in collaboration with the leadership team. This position reports into the Operations Director, Simcoe Muskoka Regional Heart Program & Regional Renal Program.

**Education**:

- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario or Current registration with other applicable regulated health professional College of Ontario
- Baccalaureate preparation in a health related field, essential
- Master's preparation in a health related field, preferred

**Competencies**:

- Three to five years current progressive experience in an acute care setting, with renal care being an asset
- Previous management experience essential
- Working knowledge and understanding of Patient Information systems (i.e. Meditech)
- Working knowledge and understanding of Financial Management systems
- Financial Management - Education and training
- Leadership training
