POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key member of the SDC leadership and client care team, the primary role of the Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse - RN) is to provide exceptional leadership and operational management of multi-generational/interprofessional teams. This involves ensuring excellence in client care, fostering the development of nursing skills, achieving corporate/program objectives, and cultivating a positive workplace environment that maximizes the potential of both clients and staff.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops, implements, and leads short and long-term plans to advance service delivery center priorities
  • Collaborates in hiring competent multi-professional personnel
  • Ensures excellent care provision while respecting client privacy and confidentiality
  • Resolves patient care issues promptly
  • Provides professional/clinical leadership to teams, fostering their development
  • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to support organizational goals
  • Works with clients and families to ensure safe and efficient care delivery
  • Plans educational strategies to enhance staff knowledge in various areas
  • Drives quality management initiatives for better client care
  • Collects, analyzes, and shares data for continuous quality improvement
  • Promotes a safe working environment that supports client healing and staff well-being
  • Ensures staff have necessary tools, equipment, and resources
  • Participates in special projects and corporate initiatives
  • Manages department's financial resources
  • Supports networking and partnership development
  • Provides emergency coverage to reduce client risk
  • Provides coverage for absences of other Clinical Leader/Managers and Supervisors
  • Plans and monitors Return to Work (RTW) activities
  • Coordinates orientation plans for new team members
  • On-call duties as needed
  • Locations covering: Barrie, Collingwood & Wasaga Beach
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Regulated health care professional designation (RN - Registered Nurse) with current professional license in Ontario
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong teaching and adult learning skills
  • Experience in adult education is beneficial
  • Membership in a related professional group preferred
  • Specialty-specific certification programs are advantageous
