Reporting to the Vice President (VP), Academic and VP Administrative Services, the Business Operations Manager, Academic and Administrative Services provides operational management and administrative leadership to a variety of complex and confidential functions in support of project management, reports, presentations, communications, operations, procedures, implementation and policy compliance for both offices.

The Manager will support the establishment, monitoring and reporting on short
- and long-term divisional initiatives across both portfolios. The Manager oversees the departmental policy and procedure review schedule and supports the VPs in the daily operations and situations that are frequently confidential, conflicting or sensitive in nature. The Manager acts as a primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders for inquiries and issue resolution. The Manager establishes and managers effective information and records management systems.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Leading, overseeing and participating in a wide range of short
- and long-term initiatives assigned by the VPs and oversees the progress of divisional initiatives for reporting and follow up action.
- Leading the divisional business planning process and supporting the development, alignment, and implementation of strategic projects across the division.
- Managing the flow of communication to and from the Offices of the VP Academic and VP Administrative Services acting as the primary liaison for inquiries, providing advice and recommendations.
- Planning and preparing reports, presentations, communications, and correspondence on behalf of the VP.
- Planning and managing the administrative operations of the Offices of the VP Academic and VP Administrative Services ensuring people and systems are in place to effectively manage information, records, policies and procedures.
- Leading staff within the office of the VPs - including identifying staffing requirements, recruiting, training, mentoring/coaching, motivating, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting professional development.
- Performing other duties/activities as required.

You have excellent skills in **research**, **analysis** and **synthesis** of information.
- 4-year bachelor’s degree or 3-year diploma/degree with either a post graduate certificate in Education, Business or a related field.
- 7-years relevant professional experience in management, operations, administration (including people management) with a minimum of three years at the senior administrative level.
- Broad general knowledge of organizational processes, including but not limited to: budgeting, financial analysis, purchasing, staff supervision, records management.
- Understanding and knowledge of: academic and administrative environments; college governance operations (e.g., Senate, Board); and, governing policies, procedures and related practices.
- Experience working and consulting with senior management in a complex diverse organization; specific understanding of senior administration’s roles and responsibilities
- Well-developed communication (oral, written & presentation) skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively build and develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is desired.
