We're growing and looking for a **Technical Sales Specialist **to join our Sales team.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Technical Sales Specialist will work closely with the Sales Account Managers, as well as the Technical Advisory Group as part of the overall objective of driving and supporting sales of our cloud-based products.
The primary focus of this role is on outside sales, where development, coverage and penetration of new accounts is required at a strategic and tactical level. Responsible for initiating prospect and client outreach via outbound B2B sales efforts as well as supporting inbound marketing campaigns, this role requires sales execution focus, support of technical demonstrations, and the ability to realize revenue growth. This focus extends to ensuring excellent customer satisfaction for prospective and existing clients
**How will you spend your day?**
- Significantly influence the revenue growth for our cloud products
- Work directly with our Senior Account Managers to uncover opportunities within their corresponding account base and prospects
- Follow up on inbound clients registering on our cloud-based products, driving engagement through a coordinated digital marketing approach, working closely with the Marketing department
- Plan sales execution with the Sales Manager to ensure all cross-functional areas are aligned and activities are reinforced to drive results
- Schedule and manage regular customer interactions: Product demonstrations, What’s New & Partner presentations as well as lunch and learns
- Run sales calls independently or with internal resources including technical advisors and management to support the overall revenue growth targets
- Build exceptional relationships with our customers and help solve their issues and address their needs
- Stay current on company and competitive products, industry changes and overall industry trends.
- Liaise with internal support groups to ensure requested action items are being executed in a timely manner
- Enter all day-to-day activities in Salesforce
- Assist with technical product discussions, provide feedback to internal development teams and ensure successful new client onboarding
- Measure, track, and evaluate progress, deliverables, milestones and required tasks with Sales Manager

- Engineering degree, technical diploma in Petroleum Engineering or suitable industry experience
- Proven technical sales experience in the energy industry
- Ability to manage client relationships and sales opportunities from creation through to close
- Experience in a team selling environment
- Polished presentation and communication skills, both virtually and in person
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, prioritization and scheduling skills
- Self-starter with ability to manage time effectively to plan and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines, with competing priorities
- High standard of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
- Strong collaborator and team player; a desire to contribute towards common goals
- Knowledge of geoLOGIC and competitor products is a plus
- Eagerness to learn new skills
- Proficient with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and MS Office programs
