**What you will do**:
The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis on a monthly basis. This will include preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and various financial and account analysis as it relates to inventory.
- Ensure accounting for inventory and other financial statement accounts is in compliance with GAAP/Stryker policies and processes on inventory comply with SOX requirements.
- Perform reconciliations, detailed financial analysis and follow-up on monthly performance versus budget or forecast related to inventory adjustments, days-in-inventory, and gross/net inventory with Operations.
- Analyze data at SKU level to determine trends and driving factors for inventory adjustments.
- Prepare flash and forecast commentary around inventory adjustments (shrink, excess & obsolescence, purchase price variance, etc.)
- Collaborates with business partners and commercial leaders in preparation and distribution of standard monthly business unit reports and dashboards.
- Finance partner working with the Demand Planners to review long term inventory forecast and communicate excess &obsolescence impact.
- Assists with preparation of budgets, projections, and strategic plans related to inventory adjustments/provisions and inventory levels.
- Key finance representative in cross-functional projects on continuous improvement, efficiencies or new initiatives.
- Collaborate with Marketing to understand financial impacts to new product launches and customer inventory levels.
- Work with FP&A and Marketing to analyze monthly margins at a SKU level to drive increased profitability.

**What you need**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
- 1+ years’ relevant experience required.
- Advanced Excel experience required. PowerBI, Oracle, HFM experience preferred.
- CPA completed or in process preferred.
- Ability to commute 1 time, biweekly to the Waterdown, Ontario facility required.
