**COMMUNICATIONS INTERN**

- Reporting to the Social Media & Content Manager, the Communications Intern will assist in the implementation of an integrated online engagement strategy and support AisB’s social media strategy by identifying content opportunities and creating trend-based social media content for the duration of the internship.

In addition, the selected individual will collaborate with the Partnerships and Engagement Manager to organize a database of AisB’s current partners. They will identify opportunities for new relationships, and engage with current and prospective partners.

**Canada Summer Jobs Requisites**:
- be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; with the intention to return to their studies in the Fall of 2023-
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment-
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations**Responsibilities**:

Social media database - 55%_**- Identity social media influencers for AisB to engage with-
- Create a database of partners and influencers for AisB to engage with-
- Keep a close eye on social media trends on both Tiktok and Instagram-
- Compile a weekly list of 2-5 concepts/trends AisB can participate in-
- Assist the social media coordinator in the creation of trend-based content-
- Engage with current and prospective partners through comments and likes across all social media platforms**_
Partnerships database - 35%_**- Organize list of current AisB partners across Canada-
- Update contact details and points of contact for current partners-
- Research youth-centered organizations across Canada-
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships**_
Admin - 15%_**- Manage schedule and calendarAttend regular meetings with team members**Skills/experience**:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Journalism)-
- Strong organizational skills-
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets-
- Experience with CRM tools is an asset-
- Knowledge of Nation Builder (or similar) is an asset.-
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills-
- Fluency in French is a strong asset-
- Proficient in Instagram and TikTok-
- Experience with creating trend-based content on Instagram and TikTok-
- Basic design skills are an asset-
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
