**Work Status**: Part-Time

**Location**: Burnaby, BC (Onsite)

**About the Role**:
**You'll be working on things like**:

- Coordinating Live Hits for all News Programs;
- Checking MMC items before airing, including ensuring font spelling and graphic information conforms to the Global News Style Guide standards;
- Checking audio and video quality on items in the playout server;
- Switching outsources to master control and performing F.A.C.S check with the playout servers;
- Editing and subbing Global National show clips for MMC Playout;
- Routing live sources onto Tel lines in various control rooms.

If you have the following...we want to hear from you
- Post-secondary education (or equivalent experience) in Broadcast Technology or a related field;
- Comprehensive computer knowledge, including knowledge of leading-edge newsroom management systems (i.e. ENPS, Edius and Stratus, MOS, Open Media);
- Good technical knowledge, spelling, and writing skills are a major asset;
- Non-linear editing abilities and excellent time management skills required;
- Good sense of picture composition for preparing live shots from the field;
- Self-starter and a team player, with good communication skills and a positive attitude;
- Working knowledge of how major news organizations are employing a wide range of digital platforms and formats;
- Willingness to adapt rapidly.
