**Job Function**:
Support the day-to-day operations of the Time & Attendance (T&A) team by clarifying/ investigating system related issues, assisting system enhancements and performing testing activities to ensure timesheet processing activities are in accordance with collective agreements, HR policies, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of data. Provide assistance with development / improvements to the Time system.
Inquiry & Investigation Management
- Support the T&A Supervisor and team lead.
- Provide necessary support and work with internal (e.g. T&A clerks, HRSC org) and external contacts (e.g. third-party vendors) to clarify / investigate issues that are system related.
- Assist with reporting or extracting data from Time system.
System & Process Enhancements
- Contribute expertise to enhance system to make processes efficient. Assist with development / design of time changes.
- Perform testing activities related to master data process and/or system changes under accountability of the Time and Attendance team.
- Perform End of Pay Period Processing (Staggered working hours maybe required), Workforce software off cycles and investigations.
- Monitor jobs within Time System.
Documents Support
- Run/Prepare reports related to system testing.
- Create work instructions (knowledge articles).
- Maintain / update documents for system updates.
Service Delivery
- Provide client support
- Addressing issues / problem within a timely manner and with good customer service skills
- Perform other duties as required.
**Selection Criteria**:
**Education**:
- Requires a knowledge of English, both oral and written to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts. Payroll practitioner certification is an asset.
- Requires a knowledge of business administration and information technology to assist the development implementation and maintenance of information systems and change initiatives. This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired in either a four-year university education in an appropriate field such as business administration or accounting or the equivalent.
**Experience**:
- Requires familiarity with business processes to understand the various collective agreements, organization, interrelationship of field department and hiring hall formation sources, to be able to thoroughly investigate information deficiencies.
- Requires experience in the use of computer hardware and software information systems to produce various reports.
- Requires experience with Workforce software or reviewing / entering timesheet data.
- Requires experience in the system testing and configuration validations. Experience in payroll is considered an asset. A period of over 4 years and up to and including 6 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
