**Specific Duties/Responsibilities**
- Posts job postings on applicant tracking system (SuccessFactors)
- Monitors and tracks responses to postings and advertisements
- Coordinates and facilitates speed interviews in conjunction with the Recruitment Specialist
- Conducts routine reference checks and other pre-selection activities where required such as: certification verifications and criminal record checks/ driver’s abstracts
- Tracks recruitment information and metrics as required; prepares updates, summaries and reports as required
- Coordinates, participates and represents the City at job fairs; maintains and updates hand-outs and other material required
- Provides back up relief for Recruitment Specialist
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience:

- Certificate in HR management or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Human Resources department, preferably some of the time working in recruitment in a unionized environment
- Experience working in a large complex organization is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Working knowledge of recruitment and selection best practices
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
- Ability to exercise substantial discretion and deal with sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work, work under pressure with constant interruptions
- Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to use computer software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Successfactors
