DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Construction Specialist, you will lead all facets of non-acute health care, institutional, industrial, and commercial projects. This includes daily coordination with owners, consultants, subtrades, and suppliers. You will ensure that the requirements in the drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality plans are met.

SITE SUPERINTENDENT ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure that the intent of the contact documents is met
- Read and understand drawings, written specifications, and sketches
- Be responsible to maintain the project schedule
- Be responsible for quality control
- Be responsible for the successful execution of RFI’s, COs and Shop Drawing Submittals
- Maintain records and prepare written reports
- Coordinate required inspections with AHJ
- Ensure compliance with Holaco's Health and Safety program
- Perform these duties at multiple job sites, concurrently
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct reports
- Ensure that daily timesheets are prepared and completed on time
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Site Superintendent REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of five years experience within any or all of the health care, institutional, industrial, and commercial sectors
- Must possess excellent oral communication and supervisory skills with an excellent command of the English language
- Must have a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and provide an up-to-date Driver’s Abstract confirming a clean driving record
- Must approach others in a professional, tactful manner, react well under pressure, respect others regardless of position, accept responsibility and follow through with commitments
- Must prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, plan for additional resources, organize and schedule direct reports and develop realistic action plans
- Must have knowledge of safe work procedures
- Additional characteristics - team oriented, critical thinker, punctual, shows initiative, adaptable to changing situations, dependable, problem solver

Site Superintendent NOT REQUIRED BUT PREFERRED:

- Experience with acute health care projects

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate and / or
- Post secondary degree in a construction related industry

**Salary**: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
