K1ST INC. is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a Carpentry Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, including reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Supervise other workers
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

The work environment for this position will be noisy, dusty, and outdoors. You will be required to work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, factories, and other industrial environments.

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment

• Post-secondary education in carpentry or a related field
• Experience working in a team environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents
