**Career Opportunity**:

- Reporting to Manager of Transit Scheduling, the Supervisor, Transit Scheduling develops, oversees and assists in the design, preparation and implementation of schedules, crew guides, systems and other related data for assigned area of work. This role is responsible for maintaining operating schedules and systems in the most efficient and economical manner in accordance with TTC policies and terms of collective agreement. Additionally, the incumbent will direct and guide staff and produce reports as well as required administrative functions for assigned projects.**What You Will Do**:

- Oversee, coordinate and assist in the design and preparation of schedules, crew guides, operator sign-up boards and other related data for the divisions
- Ensure schedules are developed in the most efficient and economic manner and within the terms of the collective agreement
- Supervise, provide guidance and direction to Transit Schedule Writers and Trainees; assist schedule writers resolve complex and intricate scheduling and crewing problems
- Communicate schedule change effects on routes and services; investigate complaints and concerns
- Act as the department representative with internal stakeholders and vendors for technical, computer, or divisional projects, which arise in the area of work including scheduling, crewing or data analysis
- Develop and document formal training procedures in the use of relevant systems and procedures
- Monitor and review schedules, crew guides and data analyses for possible improvements in efficiency and cost reductions
- Ensure necessary and relevant reports from the scheduling and crewing systems are produced, and checked for accuracy
- Demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. - Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.

- Must have several years of experience with public transit scheduling, and several years of specifically related computer scheduling skills
- Must be able to prioritize assignments, delegate work and meet deadlines
- Must be able to develop a systematic approach to projects and be able to provide proper reports on the progress of tasks
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral communication and report writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
