If so, Bayswater Vancouver is recruiting an for energetic individual to work in our student services department, supporting international students from around the world, between ages of 15 to 25. This is full-time position starting May 15 and ending on September 1, with the possibility of this becoming a permanent role after the summer.

As Student Services Officer you will provide care, guidance, and support for all our students, and build positive relationships in the local community as you run our activities program, and provide student services.

Your experience should include working with youth and international students, and having worked oversees would be an asset. Successful applicants will be confident and outgoing public speakers, able to dynamically mitigate risk in different scenarios while leading youth, able to build rapport and engage with a diverse range of people, customer-focused and committed to equality and diversity.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide student counselling & support for all non-academic
- Ensure and maintain student satisfaction and
- Monitor students who have issues and report to Student Services Manager
- Proactively engage and connect with students, reach out to students
- Provide close monitoring and support underage students and immediately report to Student Services Manager if any issues
- Support with first day arrivals, graduation ceremony, and other school events
- Assist other Student Services team
- Plan and conduct activities and school events on and off
- Assist with social
- Ensure English only is maintained at the
- Maintain and ensure student safety and welfare at all times

**Experience**:

- Experience working with international students and youth
- Having worked or studied abroad is an asset

**Qualifications**:

- First Aid certification
- Currently pursing or graduated from a relevant program (Sports Management, Tourism Management, Event Planning, Digital Marketing)

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese or Korean is an asset
- Confident public speaker
- Able to dynamically risk assess scenarios
- Resilient with a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach to work
- A team player and able to build rapport and engage with a diverse range of people
- Customer-focused

- Confident and outgoing
